Switching · TECHNIQUE
Speed
Large, available targets and short confirmation windows emphasize fast paths, decisive acquisition and immediate departure.
What it is
Speed switching isolates how quickly you can move from a completed target to the next viable one. Target motion is limited so transition speed and efficient sequencing dominate.
Core technique
Select the next target before the current one finishes, travel on a direct path, decelerate late but under control, confirm the landing and depart the instant the target is complete.
Execution
Use peripheral vision to plan one target ahead. Speed comes from reducing dead time and extra path length, not from turning every transition into an uncontrolled snap.
What to focus on
Measure the entire chain: target choice, transition, landing and departure. A fast flick followed by a long correction is a slow switch.
Common mistakes
- Waiting for target death before choosing the next target.
- Crossing the field on curved or indecisive paths.
- Overflicking and paying for a long return correction.

Demonstration
Each two-second pause isolates one essential decision. After the guided sequence, the full task continues without interruption.
