Switching · TECHNIQUE
Evasive
Moving targets turn each switch into acquisition plus a short tracking problem, demanding quick reacquisition after evasive motion.
What it is
Evasive switching is the hybrid case: the crosshair must reach a moving target, stabilize enough to deal damage and survive direction changes before leaving for another target.
Core technique
Switch toward the target's current path, then immediately transition from flick mechanics to velocity matching. If the target evades, reacquire with one controlled correction rather than stacking frantic snaps.
Execution
Favor targets whose movement is readable or has just changed direction. Land near center mass, track through the required confirmation window and preselect the next target without abandoning the current one early.
What to focus on
Make the handoff from flick to tracking invisible. A good initial switch that immediately falls off target still produces poor effective time on target.
Common mistakes
- Aiming at where the moving target used to be.
- Landing correctly but failing to match velocity.
- Leaving before the current target is actually complete.

Each two-second pause isolates one essential decision. After the guided sequence, the full task continues without interruption.
